What we never missing from the table of all Salvadoran is a rich and hot soup. The most typical are: the legs, chicken, red beans, white beans, beef, fish and Pinol. These delicious soups are a delight to the hour of noon . Some of them are considered a food capable of lifting the state of weakness convalescent people or for those who had a night of drinking in abundance.

The soup legs This soup is so named because the made legs of beef, accompanied by vegetables: cabbage, yucca, carrots, corn, green bananas, annatto, herbs and spices. In addition, some people add beef intestines.

Beef Soup This soup is made on the basis of beef bone, which is accompanied with cabbage, yucca, corn, güisquil, carrots, herbs and spices.

Chicken Soup This soup is prepared based on chicken, accompanied by potatoes, carrots, pipianes, cabbage, güisquil, herbs and rice.

Rice Soup with chipilín This soup is known as rice soup water. This soup is prepared with chicken, rice and chipilín, coupled with pipían, carrot, güisquil, tomato, onion, green pepper, herbs and spices. Some people used bone pork instead of chicken.

Soup Green Banana This soup is produced from green banana which is cooked and ground. This preparation will be added rib or bone fried pork, as well as green pepper, onion, tomatoes and spices.

Fish Soup The fish soup is made on the basis fish, onions, tomatoes, garlic, salt and herbs.

Pinol Soup This soup is prepared with chicken and corn roasted and ground. Furthermore it contains ingredients such as tomatoes, cumin, garlic and mix of species that are used in preparing the sauce used for the preparation of chicken tamales.

Red bean soup This soup is a very typical throughout Salvadoran table. This is a soup prepared with red beans, garlic, onion, green pepper and tomato. Some people add pork or rib pork. Other people add corn dough balls, which are prepared with corn dough, butter and salt.

White Bean Soup This soup is prepared based on white beans to which were added rib of beef, sausage, bacon, tomato, green pepper, garlic, onion, herbs and spices.
