Forest Chaguantique

It is one of the Natural Protected areas of El Salvador, has a few thousand hectares of land, is located in the municipality of Jiquilisco, right in the middle of the City of Jiquilisco and Port El Triunfo, near the Pacific Ocean, his name Nahuat language means "Place of beautiful springs"

The current temple Alegria began to build on 26 August 18 70 . Alegria is the birthplace of the illustrious teacher and thinker Salvadoran Don Alberto Masferrer (1869-1932) and former President of the Republic Dr. Manuel Enrique Araujo.

Bay of Jiquilisco
